Calling all Finale users...

So I'm writing some tunes and have a grand staff for the piano part. in the middle of the piece are chord changes for 32 bars..... my question is this:

Can you take a piano grand staff down to a single staff for just those 32 bars of chords and then go back to the grand staff to finish out the tune?

If so please shed some light on the subject? I noticed in some of the New Real Books (i.e. Sher publications), tunes are written this way but I'm not sure Finale can notate it. I'm using an older version, Finale 2003.

Thanks

To my knowledge, Finale does not do this. Why would you want to cut the staff anyway? Is it a one hand part?

I want to cut it b/c there is no need to have two staves to put slash chords on.... and it also cuts down on the overall page length. Thanks for your help.
