Shhh, Bill. He's still wondering where he can buy a cornet.

what an AMAZING concert. I haven't heard such good intonation in a looong time.

It also turns out that a friend of mine was ringing in for a cornet player. Justin Porier is the guy. He flew in for 5pm and read the concert at 7. I did the Ceremonial Guard band thing with him four summers ago.

Awesome concert. It also turns out that another friend of mine from Halifax was the recording technician for the concert. So not only will I have the memory of such a great concert, I'll have the recording of it.

Great Stuff. (Still not sold on the whole cornet thing - I'll just stick to my Brand New Xeno for now)

Cheers
Eric

The best example of "the cornet thing" as Eric calls it, this weekend, is the Festival of Brass in Toronto. http://www.hssb.ca/

There will be 4 separate events:
- Friday evening - Hannaford Street Youth Band’s Young Artist Competition

- Saturday - Community Showcase - with 4 community Brass Bands

- Saturday evening - Collaborations - the HSSB Honor Band and Maple Leaf Brass

- Sunday PM - Awakenings with Guest Conductor, Elgar Howarth

It will be a great weekend of Brass!
