That's all I can really say about this guy! I was reading an old post that Manny wrote letting us know about the Minnesota Orchestra archived music. I was just browsing around and then saw a link to the Minnesota players. Of course, I had to look at the trumpet section. Then I see this guy - Charles. Check out this site: http://www.charleslazarus.com/ . I may be slow and everyone else in the world has heard and seen him, but he just came to my attention. Wow! What would I give to play even half as good as these guys? Hmmmm......
Nice guy too - met him last week when Manny was over here.
He looks good in the hair too

He sounds better than he looks in the hair. IMO.
Listen to your inner voice before it says ,"I told you so".
I ordered his CD from his site.. here is the auto response email from the CD Company.. very funny!!
Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.
A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure
it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Sunday, August 27th.
I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as 'Customer of the Year'. We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!
Maybe he just doesn't sell many CDs and they really do celebrate like this when they find a customer??

Charles's CD arrived in the Post yesterday! On my 2nd Listen today already.
I like it big time! I recommend it to all... great stuff Charles (if you are lurking!)
Lots of influences to be heard. Isn't in any particular style really, shows off Charles versatility.
Charles's CD is amazing. I downloaded a copy from iTunes. Versitle? Can you say "stylistically diverse", boys and girls?
My jaw hit the floor at that display of technique Fountains of Kilauea is...Vizzuti MIGHT be able to attempt that one...I know what I'll be playing for my students the first day of lessons... "Ok...listen close, 'cause this is gonna be your final...and you have to play it by ear, 2 playings. One now, one at the year's end!"
Seriously, though, I just love the album, and really do want to have my students expeirence it.
