Charles Lazarus CD

Hey all

I just received Charles Lazarus's CD, "Solo Settings" today. It is beautiful. What a great player and a very unique style of compositions. Well done and bravo, Charles!

I'll second that!! Charles is a great player and a great guy. If you ever have the opportunity to see him live or take a masterclass with him - go for it. You'll enjoy it.

Funny you should mention that. When he was with the Canadian Brass they had a ocncert in Ottawa last summer. While since I was employed in the band that my avatar displays, I wanted to request an hour off in the afternoon to have a lesson with him. He was all for it unfortunately the band thought I'd be better used in a rehearsal for a concert we already performed. So what happens when the requested hour comes around...a freakin fire drill. SO I was standing outside doing absolutely nothing!!! Boy oh boy I was mad. However, I saw him and had a chance to meet with him at their concert that night. What a fine player
