It was the early 70s. Cat was the assistant music director and lead trumpet.I remember Danny Stiles sitting with Cat. The other guys were Murray Karpilovsky, Johnny Bello, Al DiRissi and me.
Cat had a feature on "Soul Train" that was unbelievable. He made it look easy It was just about the time his book came out.
