| Pianissimo User | Chet Baker album question I recently heard the song You're My Thrill on pandora and fell in love with his trumpet sound. The problem is it seems many of his songs are primarily vocal. Does he have any "best of" albums that are mostly or all instrumental?

| Forte User | Re: Chet Baker album question Most of his albums are a mix of both vocal and trumpet. Check out the album called the Chet Baker Big Band. That album has no vocals on it and features great playing. His singing is fantastic, don't count it out. The great thing about Chet is that his singing is exactly the way he plays the trumpet.

![]() | Re: Chet Baker album question There is a "best of" album "Best of Chet Plays" on pacific jazz. I would also check out "She was Too Good To Me". As I recall, just one vocal track but great album. "Young Chet" also has a lot of playing on it as does all of his work with Gerry Mulligan. Hope this help a bit.
