check your local music stores to see if they can order the Salvation Army Christmas books, they contain most of the old favorite carols with a slightly different feel which make them interesting. You can also get the melody played in any part - Trombone, French Horn and such. very good books to play out of.

Any church hymnal. You'll have to do some transposing.

I'd just change "Any" to "Most" Christian church hymnals have a fair selection of religious oriented Christmas songs, but it is my personal sadness that many communitys now prohibit them being played in public at Christmas time. Personally, I'm thankful, such is NOT so here in Jackson NC (YET!).

For me it is a snap to transpose piano music for the Bb instruments. I've even raised the bass clef into the treble clef and performed a 4 part trumpet quartet. Also works with S.A.T.B. choral sheet music. To transpose, just add 2 sharps to key signature (negating flats, one sharp, for one flat) or add to existing sharps and play 2 semi-tones (half steps) higher.

A good resource. I had fond memories of touring in the newly formed Czech Republic, playing Bach in churches that were without music for a long time, staying with wonderful people (we would communicate by drawing and mime) and Budvar--yum! You might want to see if your town has a sister city in Germany--I'm sure the Posaunenchor there would donate an old Posunenklang book. Everything in C. As near as I know, the Böhmischen Brüder shared much with the Evangelical Kirche in Germany, including songs.

I second getting a church hymnal and transposing for the various instruments. I bet a local church would love to have you guys practice and play in their building.
