In hunting for the Claude Gordon video (which I didn't find), I came across Andrea Giuffredi who uses pedal tones in the same whimsical way Arturo Sandoval does. I think it's a useful ability in certain applications when executed as richly as Andrea and Arturo. Tips on getting to the Claude Gordon video welcomed.
Thanks for your help.
Only those who have studied with Claude truely understand the value and purpose of pedal tones so I am looking forward to more resposes

You can find some useful sound files from Claude Gordon Brass camps at Trumpet and Brass Playing Sound Files Featuring Claude Gordon and Jeff Purtle | purtle.com. In them he talks a bit about pedal tones.
Also, check youtube and watch Eric Bolvin's videos. I think I remember him doing something on pedals in one of his videos, but I'm not sure which one (although it might be Tongue Level and Air).
I know this is an old post but I got here by accident and saw my name.
Hey Randy! I remember you from Carl Leach days. Walt's friend.
Here's a link to my pedal stuff: ::: Eric Bolvin Music Studios - MusicNet Lessons :::
Oh and the vid got removed because it was in violation of copyright.
I purchased your pedal material and it was excellent for someone trying to figure it out on their own. Thanks.
