Re: Collichio

Yeah, it's Calicchio...I used to play a Classic 1s7, very nice horn. Wish
I could have played one of Dominick's hand made ones though.
I hear the new ones are good, where are they now Tulsa?

patdublc is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Collichio

I have a 1S2 large bore. The Calicchio's tend to have a somewhat unique sound. Lots of great players (e.g. Chuck Findley) have spent a lot of their careers on them. I use mine for shows and big band. But, I also use some other horns in the same settings. It really depends on the sound that I'm looking for.
They are fairly scarce so trying one out might be difficult unles you can find someone near you who has one.

Re: Collichio

It's Calicchio. Some present "artist" using Calicchio trumpets include ... Chuck Findley, John Chudoba, Mike Williams, Lee Thornburg, Walt Johnson, Dave Trigg, Chuck Mangione, Steve Reid, Claudio Roditi ... just to name a few. Calicchio's are hand crafted instruments now outta Tulsa, Oklahoma as the Company is now owned by John Duda.
