Thanks again for all your kind wishes guys. The good Lord has worked his healing powers and the advice from friends here has been so helpful.
I would just like to reassure anyone who goes through this sort of thing, to have faith, be patient and persevere - you will get back.
At the moment I have been able to progress to forming the embouchure very near its original position, but it has taken hours of practise and perseverence to get the tonal colour back - this is now about 80% ish.
I am doing various exercises to rebuild endurance in general (which is fairly low) and have medium sessions on the Eb and short sessions on the Piccs. During the last 3 or 4 weeks in particular the nerves and muscles on the scared area seem to be getting close to a fully healed state, with a bit more feeling and power.
