| New Friend | CYSO Benaroya 2005... Best perfromance ever! So my youth symphony, (CYSO = Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra) just played at Benaroya Hall here in Seattle, and I nailed it. I played the best I EVER have... it was simply amazing in that Hall. We played: Shostakovich 5 Mvt. 4 (Finale) Concerto for Cello (Dvorak) Afro-American Symphony Mvt. 1+3 (William Grant Still) our second half (performed with a Gospel Choir) was: Lift Every Voice and Sing and a few songs composed by Dr. Stephen Michael Newby (really great guy, he was there and conducted us... great musicican all around) I have to say THIS is why I play... it is so amazing when the work is all done. Brandon (P.S. Manny thanks so much for the tips on Shostakovich, I played the solo beautifully...)
