David Krauss

I was just watching the video masterclass with David Krauss that Derek Reaban posted a link to. I was wondering if anyone knew what horn and mouthpiece he is using? I know Derek, you've posted your lesson with him, maybe you know what he's playing on. He sounds really good. (maybe if I play what he plays on I'll sound like him... ;)

Re: David Krauss

He told me that he's playing one of the new Chicago Yamaha C trumpets and that Bob Malone made an adjustment here or there. He played a Bach 229/25H before that (I believe). I'm not sure what his mouthpiece is, but you should probably just play what is most comfortable to you and what meets your musical needs.

Hope this helps.

hahaha... I'm not really looking to play the mouthpiece that he plays... I'm just curious to find out. I play that same trumpet and I was wondering what mp he uses with it (mine's not gold plated though... :( ) I mean com'mon I'm a trumpet player... ;)
