| Re: Double C Haha, yeah. I cringe when I see Maynard play. He seems to really struggle, however well he hits the notes - I think he's highly overrated, but I'm liable to get crucified saying that on a trumpet forum. I'm not sure if I agree with you about Faddis though. He's a natural high note playing machine (I like to imagine him picking up the trumpet for the first time as a teenager and blowing a nonchalant high C) but I've seen some videos of his where he doesn't make it look so effortless - definitely better than MF though. Vince Demartino and Carl Saunders are the most laid back, highly technically able players I've seen. |

| Re: Double C Yeah, I'd have to agree. Although he does make it look like it takes him less effort than Maynard, I've seen him live and in plenty enough videos to know that he's really blowing man. I don't know if it's from years of too much pressure (or just enough pressure from his point of view), but Faddis has got a white spot on his lips now right where the trumpet goes. |
