Dave, I myself can attest to the fact that my "good" practice days are when the air is "moving", and my "bad" practice days are when I am trying to achieve results with insufficient air. I have read other players posts (on other forums), making the case that "soft practice" kills their endurance and leaves their chops in a mess. Having said that, are there any benefits to soft practice? Be well.

Hi Bill, Yes...the point of the thread was achieved...interest was generated and a discussion developed. Dave is just trying to "get things moving" here in Tone Production. I will agree with you as it regards weight lifting and stagnation. If your routine never varies, your development/progress will probably stop. The same can be said for the horn. Be well.

Hi PH, I'm not surprised that this "caught your attention". You had previously admitted to lurking. But that's OK. A "lurking PH" is better than "no PH". So...would you say that the lips are roughly equivalent to "rubber bands" supported by muscle(s)? To be honest...I trying to "call you out" because I believe that you have something substantial and enlightened to say. All the best.
