Fabulous Rapa!

Dear all,

This guy is absolutely fabulous.

http://www.monette.net/newsite/news.htm

It is some of the healthiest playing I've ever seen. Totally into his music and not an ounce of crud in his sound. He demonstrates three different depths of mouthpiece and is a complete musician on each, producing different colors on each. I've never heard him before until just now.

Wonderful!

S-Money will become famous soon enough
Re: Fabulous Rapa!

I heard of him, and heard him live for the first time a few months ago at NTC... absolutely amazing... played with the Army Blues, and all i can say is WOW!

I also got to meet and talk to him... hes a pretty cool, laid back guy on top of his amazing playing.

I hope to be able to hear him live again soon!

Man, that guy can really play! Nice fat lead sound and it seems like he's a great all around player too.

I remember hearing Adam when he was 16 when I worked at Osmun... I was like "You got to be kidding me!" He's an amazing player and great guy. Sounds like a great horn for him!

Re: Fabulous Rapa!

To get a better grip on it. Dave's mouthpieces fit very snugly into his horns. His hands might have been a bit slippery from any number of compounds Dave keeps around the shop to use. Maybe he likes to keep them from getting smudged. Who knows?

I just tried using my shirt to change mouthpieces, and nope, still don't sound anywhere near him on that kind of stuff.
