Thumbs up First lesson went well

My old lips are tired and I have a ton of work to do but I do now believe that there IS light at the end of this tunnel.
Instructor played my Chineese horn and pronounced it fit to play. Good news there as well. Might need a mouthpiece change but it is too soon to tell. Next lesson 2 Weeks away.

Glad to hear lessons are going well. I've benefitted a lot from mine since I started my comeback. Hang in there, and practice, practice, practice

Ditto, finding the right teacher is a blessing. Mine has been great. Yes, practice, practice, practice...

At this point after 3 years of off and on lessons (this last year has be tough time wise) I am satisfied with my note mechanics and ability to read music. Musicality and rythms need much more work. Hopefully i wil have more time for lessons and practice this year.

Hang in there, picking up a horn after some 40 years of not playing is one of the best things I have ever done.

It's good to have positive confirmation that your horn works and that you're headed in the right direction.

Thumbs down Re: First lesson went well

I agree on the banning of certain ignorant misfits that have no buisness nor enough intelligence to be on any forum.
Do we not have moderatore to exclude such as this?

    Bruce,
yes you have "a" moderator. He works for a living and doesn't monitor the site 24x7. Sorry that I only just got to this.

    Hi Bruce,
Pleased to see you got through your first lesson. A journey starts with a first step, and a teacher puts you in the right direction...you're on the right path.

Keep us informed of your progress.
    Cheers
    Peter

Was my post deleted on purpose?
Or did it just get dragged out along with the others?

If I was out of line, I'd like to know what I did.

and pronounced it fit to play.
    That´s both good AND bad sometimes;
you know, those times when you wish you could
blame your HORN for how you sound . . .

Anyway, good that you´re on the trp track again.

    Will,
I deleted everything here pertaining to the spamming of the site by one user with two names, including the criticism thereof.

You did nothing "wrong". I just tried in this case, to return the thread to its original purpose.

When someone does something that I think is "wrong", they get a PM from me.
