Is there anybody out here who can explain the adequate synonyms and foreign words used in this thread for us
who haven't graduated from Washington State University or Montana State University?

I use abstrusely the two under, two over, index in slide ring, cupping-palm left-hand grip. Right thumb goes between 1 & 2 under leadpipe, pinky on ring and not in it if I am obsequiously attentive enough to remember. Am trying to play with flat fingers like Reinhardt suggested, but years ago learned to curl and play with fingertips which indubitably causes valve hang-ups on some of my horns.

Nothing is more contagious or tenacious than music. Once you are exposed it gets inside you and you can never get rid of it. It is also non-discriminating. It can be Ride of the Valkyries, In a Gadda da Vida, the Jeopardy 15 second thinking tune, your most disliked commercial jingle - it doesn't matter. Once triggered, off you go, like it or not.
If you need pressure upstairs, you will find a way - with or without. Relaxed CAN be had with, so my opinion is it doesn't matter. We can make an excuse out of temptation anywhere in life. Strength of character, diligent habit building, solid practice are the recipes for success - with or without the ring!
