Help with F Besson ID

Hi, I posted in the vintage area, perhaps that was the wrong place.

I'm helping a friend find out what exactly it is he has. He bought a French Besson years ago from some surplus place and he doesn't play anymore so he's thinking of selling his stuff. He has another trumpet and some other gear as well. I'm posting it for him because he's rather new to computers and forums so it's much easier if I do it. Just to answer that question.

Can anyone tell me/him when it was made and maybe an idea on the value? I can't find anything that has similar stampings, then again I don't play trumpet so I may not be searching in the right places. Anyway here are a couple of pics, hope they help.

It's in nice condition, no dents, or anything major. Usual polish marks and such.
Thanks,

Re: Help with F Besson ID

What your pal has got there is an F. Besson that was built by Kanstul in Anaheim. Send that pic along to the factory (website = Welcome to Kanstul Musical Instruments ) and they'll be able to pinpoint the date.
