![]() | Help using a tuner.. I'm a newbie trumpet player and I bought a Korg chromatic tuner ca-30 since I can't afford lessons. My question is what hz should I put it on so I know I'm hitting the right note especially since most beginners start a C or G or is the tuner even really useful? The range on it is from 410-480hz by the by.. Any advice would be great..thanks! Chris78 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A=440 When you start using a tuner, be carefull you aren't lipping individual notes in tune, find a place to put your tuning slide where most notes are close, and work from there. Use it as a reference, not an absolute.
