bandman will become famous soon enough
Hey Manny, you know this tune!?!?!?!

I love your Avatar! I thought you might appreciate this! I wish I could make it play for you! I'm not a Mets fan, but I appreciate anyone who is a fanatic for his or her favorite team!

Meet the Mets,
Meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets!
Bring your kiddies, bring your wife,
guaranteed to have the time of your life
because the Mets are really sockin’ the ball, knockin' those home runs over the wall!
East Side, West Side, everybody’s coming down
to meet the M-E-T-S Mets of New York town!

Oh, the butcher and the baker and the people on the streets,
where did they go? TO MEET THE METS!
Oh, they’re hollerin’ and cheerin’ and they’re jumpin’ in their seats,
where did they go? TO MEET THE METS!
All the fans are true to the orange and blue,
so hurry up and come on down.
‘Cause we’ve got ourselves a ball club,
the Mets of New York town!

Give ‘em a yell!
Give ‘em a hand!
And let ‘em know you're rootin’ in the stand!

Come on and meet the Mets,
Meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets!
Bring your kiddies, bring your wife,
guaranteed to have the time of your life
because the Mets are really sockin’ the ball, knockin' those home runs over the wall!
East Side, West Side, everybody’s coming down
to meet the M-E-T-S Mets of New York town,
of New York town!

Everybody now:

Second verse,
same as the first,
a little more annoying
and a little bit worse!

btw - a good friend of mine just hung up a signed photo of Buckner and Mookie in his dining room (you know the one) and said, "hey, whaddaya think?" when I came over to visit. If it wasn't for 2004 and him supplying the beer, he would have had a case of assault (or at least vandalism) to report.

Hey John,

Remember the Lion's fight song?

They sing it over the speakers whenever(if ever) the Lions score. Even when they are 40 points down.

Forward down the field,
A charging team that will not yield.
And when the Blue and Silver wave,
Stand and cheer the brave.
Rah, Rah, Rah.
Go hard, win the game.
With honor you will keep your fame.
Down the field and gain,
A Lion victory!

Oh Pleeeease!

Let's all root for our baseball team,

GO GET 'EM TiGERS!

We're World Series bound and pickin' up steam,

GO GET 'EM TiGERS!

There'll be joy in Tigertown, we''ll sing a song,

When the bengals bring a pennant home,

Where it belongs.

Let's all root for our baseball team,

GO GET 'EM TiGERS!

Chuck I play it in my basement when they score, TD's only.

When I did the games at the Silverdome. We played it on every kickoff. Even after the other team scored.

I'm just hoping for a Mets/Red Sox World Series rematch again... it would be a fabulous thing for baseball right now with all the steroid junk distracting from a great game.

Wouldn't that be great?

Go Mets! Go BoSox!

How much fun would it be to see Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz go up against Pedro? You think Pedro would give Big Pappi one high and inside? I'll root for the Mets to get there just to see that.

Wouldn't be sweet to take out both NY teams on the way to winning the second Boston World Series in 3 years?

I want to see two teams that have never won the ring before! If that can't happen, then I'll take any winner other than the Yankees.
