Btw, I played in the large group lead by Ed. Tarr - it was from the the newly discovered Charamela Real.
I also remember showing Herseth that I had a white LP - the CSO Brass Quintets (Herseth & Schilke on trumpet) first recording from the early 1950ies. He was very impressed that the LP had reached his fathers old country.
I arranged a mini seminar with John Taber (principal trpt in Holland) - he was a Stamp student and showed us all the Stamp stuff. It was before it was made into a book by BIM.
In Elverum, when Harry Kvebaek (great Norwegian trumpeter) played the "Faebodpsalm", Bud Herseth had tears in his eyes.
It was a great trumpet event, that summer in 1977 with Bud & Co.
