| Mezzo Piano User | I'm no repair man or anything I am no repair man or anything, but does this make any sence to any of you? Wouldn't it be a bad thing to hammer out a stuck valve? http://cgi.ebay.com/Trumpet-valve-re...QQcmdZViewItem Eric |

| New Friend | Actually thats not hammering it loose. By the description, its more like tapping it loose. Your supposed to tap it loose with a rubber mallet, and usually, i would guess the valve comes out with the first tap, unless there is major damage. Its more about loosening things, rather than forcing them to come apart. Do you follow? Hope it is clear, Brandon |

| the above is correct, but if you dont know what you are doing take it to the repair tech, it can be cheaper then trying to fix it yourself and wind up causing more problems. plus the repair tech can see if the casing is out of round and fix that problem too at the same time. |
