rdt1959 has a spectacular aura about
Internet Practice Sessions?

I am kinda thinking out loud here <which usually gets me in trouble!>

Is there anyway we could link up several people over the internet for a live practice session or live jam session? Like a web cam, onoy with audio files?

It would be great fun if we could.

One on One would work with MSN Messenger...mic and webcam between two people. I think that there would be some time lag issues trying to actually play together however. And the sound....a trumpet would drown out any normal computer speakers if you weren't feeding the signal into a monster home stereo! Still, it's a good idea and the potential for "online" lessons exists....would be better than sending video tapes back and forth with snail mail.

With the right setup it's possible, but we are talking like, Cable connections on both sides with peak performance, professional mikes, and monitors on both sides.
