This is Jon Faddis playing "All Blues." He plays high notes REALLY good--man I wish I could play like that!!

I was looking at the close up of his chops, and I noticed that as he plays higher, he kind of aims his air stream upward by moving his corners and jaw the same direction. So he basically makes a "chewing" motion with his corners to provide the correct tension to it to play the right note.

I'm not saying that that's the correct way to play high notes, I'm no professional, just a high school trumpet player. I'm just putting this out there to let everybody know about it.
