![]() | Man, that recording sounds like it's underwater Quick question... has anyone ever tried an old horn underwater? With it angled somewhat down so the bell had air in it, did it work? I'm thinking trumpet & trombone are about the only instruments that would have a decent shot at working. Of course the resonance will be altered. Trying to figure out if it would be worth giving it a shot. |

I don't remember the details other than thinking at the time "I don't believe how weird this is". Does anybody know who that trumpet player was? - morris | |

![]() | Re: Man, that recording sounds like it's underwater It was most likely Marcus Stockhousen Intuitive Music, Jazz, Classical - Markus Stockhausen (trumpet) I saw it done at Chosen Vale last summer by Daniel Rosenboom I believe. It is a cool effect. Hard to describe the sound. Just get a bucket of water and dip your horn in and play, haha
