resonator

i have been playing a B1-5D for around a month. It is going really good but it is a little tighter then i would like. If it was a conventinal mouthpiece i would have open it a size or two. Is there anything i can do to make it more free blowing since monette says it can't be opened? Does monette open it himself?

It sounds like you need a rim that affords you more space because that is one good size mouthpiece, Res. But please don't do anything to it because Dave knows how to keep the mouthpiece balanced in an OPTIMAL way. You might like that piece he made for me, the 1-4S version2. It's a sweet mouthpiece and you mgiht like the rim better. Always call the shop. they're eager to keep their customers happy.
