| Fortissimo User | http://www.stevesmusic.com is the only one I can find on a net search. You'd probably be better off to pop down to your local library and dig out the Yellow Pages phone book for Montreal. Flip Oakes (Wild Thing) has a distributor in Ottawa (Nepean), but that's about the closest "other" that I know of. http://www.mikesmusic.com/ |

| Fortissimo User | Right you are, Dave... I forgot about Twigg. There's probably a reason for my forgetting though.... their prices!!! OUCH! $3,850 for a Schilke that you can purchase from the US for $1,900 US (which is $2,300 Cdn) and $2,600 Cdn for a 180 mL37 that I priced last year (when exchange rates were even worse) at $2,100 Cdn in Victoria. (According to my notebook, Long & McQuade had the 72LT at $2,350 Cdn, Yamaha 8335 GSM at $2,300, and Conn V1S at $2,350). Just over two years ago I purchased a new Schilke in Edmonton for $3,000 Cdn... when exchange rates were 1.62 instead of the current 1.20! Someone is taking someone to the cleaners... they have just GOT to be flexible on their selling prices so negotiate like heck. It is a good opportunity to see how the various horns play though. |

| Forte User | Toots- The Mike's link only takes us to a photo; there is no address for the store. Do you have that info available? I go to Ottawa every so often to see the Sens...(well, not THIS year! |

| Fortissimo User | http://www.mikesmusic.com/ Mike's Music is in Nepean but that's just a suburb of Ottawa anyway. The address is on the front page of that website. |
