| More Player/Horn Inquiries I've enjoyed perusing that great list of player/horn/mouthpiece combinations elsewhere online, however there were a few names of interest to me that I didn't find. Can anyone advise on the equipment used by these fellows? Randy Brooks (1940s) Ray Linn (ca. 1950s) Manny Klein (ca. 1930s/40s) Joe Newman (ca. 1950s) Nick Travis (1950s) Idrees Sulieman (ca. 1940s/1950s) Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Regards, Scott |

| Mannie Klein played an Olds Recording. Although this website: http://www.cuc.claremont.edu/fiske/trumpets.htm says that in the '40's Mannie played a Super. "B179 Trumpet in Bb, F. E. Olds & Son, Los Angeles, ca. 1940, serial no. 8874. “Super Olds” model played by Mannie Klein." Last edited by Schwab : 12-07-2006 at 12:12 AM. |
