    For my students who didn't practice three weeks in a row, we'd alternate between 2 and 13 (B-D). After a couple of minutes the right arm starts screaming.

    The most annoying fingering is the first valve finger applied to the nostril. Pay your dues and the fingerings won't matter. I consider the forked fingerings fun.

    I don't know why , playing (A) above the staff on 1 & 2, I rather 3 . Funny that.

    There's another fingering I don't like: It's the low D (1st + 3rd valve).

    The weird thing is, I don't mind that fingering as an alternate one ...

    For me it's simply remembering which which notes to apply alternate fingerings when I switch back and forth between my C and Bb trumpets. (I don't play the C trumpet very often right now.)

    For me it's anything with 4th valve on my 3 valve Bb....

    I hate Middle C#s for some reason, but I never have really been hung up with a fingering. I just hate the way it feels.

    Anything 2+3 for me. It never "feels right" & sounds "funny" to me.
