 | The most annoying fingering ... So, what's your most hated fingering on the trumpet (or on any other horn)? Imho it's the low C#. I've been hating it from the start and I still do and probably always will.  |

Just trying to figure out why you say open fingerings are the worst. Would you really refer to all valves open as a true fingering since you're not using any fingers?

| Re: The most annoying fingering ... Oh okay. I wasn't trying to be offensive Max, I was just curious. I have noticed that Doc Severinsen uses alternate fingerings very often.

| Re: The most annoying fingering ... Well I hate the low C# too... And you shouldn't get too comfortable with alternate fingering, playing open notes is also an essential (IMHO) skill for playing the trumpet...  psst!! Db is C# |
