Oh man, every player has those. I recently helped out the HS where I teach part time, one of the guitar kids was doing a B blues chart, which of course put me in C# blues. The 57 started to fall out of the mic clip and we were fiddling with it right as I started my chorus and I just blanked. I think it was the worst solo I have played in my adult life, AND Peter Cetera was there as his daughter Savannah goes there!
Now, the kids didn't seem to notice and I 'sold' it, but on the inside I was mortified.
You just shake it off.

One time in a concert I cracked a note. I almost cried!

It's been ages but I remember it like it was yesterday. I had this really fancy horn's up I would do before the second piece of my High Schools half time show. (Lala's theme from Star Wars)
I started the piece before the band would come in. We were at a marching festival in Ft Walton Beach Florida at the time it happened. When I went to take my solo I started with the fancy horns up I had worked on when my mouthpiece flew from my horn and traveled 20 yards away. The band could not start with out me so I had to break attention and then get my mouthpiece and start the solo. It was a horrifying moment for a high school kid.

Don't be afraid to try something different. The Ark was built by an amateur and the Titanic was built by a group of experienced engineers.
