Need Help On Range for Marching Band

hey guys i am fairly new to this website but i was looking for some range advice.

What are some exercises do to better my self for range improvement?

I know that to improve one's range they must play ing the high reg. What I want to know is are there any exercises that will help my range without nessecaraly playing high?(like the pencil method, certain breathing exercises, stuf like that)

Any advice would be good...

Thanks,
JHARRIS

The real answer is to find the best private teacher, learn and practice, and have patience. No one would tell you how to bench press 300 pounds on the internet. They would tell you to learn proper lifting technique with a good coach and let nature develop you. The same for the trumpet. Learn to play the trumpet correctly, range is just a natural extension of good playing. But it takes time and doing it right.
