Neoprene Water Key Pads

Does anyone know of a source for the neoprene water key pads? Is this the latest or is there something better? Thanks everyone.

Re: Neoprene Water Key Pads

Neoprene waterkey pads are available from allied supply. I am pretty sure they only deal with dealers so you'll probably have to go to your local shop to get them. One warning, because of their hardness, neoprene pads must fit close to perfect to provide a good seal. They also tend to get harder as they age. They are the longest lasting waterkey pad material I know of.

Another option is the Valentino synthetic corks. They are softer so they seal better and are still long lasting and waterproof. Available from Votaw tool: Votaw Tool Company - Musical Instrument Repair Tools, Parts, and Supplies

Thank you so much for your reply. I think I'll try the synthetic corks. Makes better sense to me.
