| New FAQ's After reading this and other trumpet forums for the past month or so, I've come up with a new list of FAQ's that should be posted by the moderators if they so choose. I left the answers to these questions out on purpose. How long til I can hit a Double C? What exactly is a Double C on the staff? How long til I can hit a Double C? Is there a mouthpiece that will help me hit a Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? Is there a special type of valve oil that will help me hit a Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? When did you hit your first Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? Do long tones really help with your range? (ie Double C) How long til I can hit a Double C? Will grinding my teeth help me hit a Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? Are my lips too big to hit a Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? What exactly is a Double C on the staff? How long til I can hit a Double C? Is there a mouthpiece that will help me hit a Double C? How long til I can hit a Double C? Feel free to add to the list. |

After one or two posts we have instilled a more realistic picture! It is amazing how many posters without a double C can explain to the rest of us how to hit it best! |

| Re: New FAQ's I dont think double high c's exist on my horn (joke) seriously one doesn't need to have that range to do well. Remember 95%+ of all trumpet playing is below high c. Is best to concentrate on sound, technique and intonation rather then being able to play in the stratosphere. |
