New music
We had our first rehearsal after a concert last night and got new music. I grabbed my trumpet case on the way out and when I got there I only had my C trumpet. Not the end of the world but one piece in particular gave me trouble.
We are playing Romeo and Juliet arranged by Hindsley.
Most of the time I like his stuff but this one for some reason
just doesn't work for me. Some of the violin parts written for trumpet are a killer too.
Maybe after I play it a few times it will grow on me.

Is it Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet? For wind ensemble?
