after playing a frineds B&H 400 yesterday i have noticed that the valves on my besson are really noisy when pushed down and on release. it seems to have rubber stops where the B&H has felt. Can this be the problem? if so can i just install felts?
the bessons valves feel a lot quicker in responce than the B&H.
thanks for any help.
I may not be a good player but if i practice every day with a purpose I can only get better.

Re: noisy valves
It could be that the rubber stops are worn.If you do replace them with either felts or rubber ,make sure they're the right size(thickness). If they're too thin or too thick they will throw off the valve alignment which affects the way the horn plays and sounds.
