1989Trumpet

I have an old trumpet that I picked up from a fleamarket in Washinton State in 1998. It has an ingraving on the bell that says Cavalier. Elkhart. IND. U.S.A. also in the ingraving is a picture of a knight on a horse. The serial number is42280. Could anyone tell me if they know how old the horn it. It smells really old. It still plays. I tried to upload some photos of the trumpet without success. The file was to big.

By the serial number I'd say it's quite old 1930's to 1950's maybe.
