The Daily Telegraph (UK) reports today that Pat Halcox died on the 4th of Feb. He was a trumpeter in the Chris Barber Band, and also, apparently, the man who taught Richard Burton to mime trumpet playing for the 1959 film "Look back in Anger".

The Obit quotes him as saying:

"I was a research chemist who'd decided to play trumpet for a year or two, to get it out of my system, five decades later, here I am, still doing it."
