![]() | Patrick Hession's method book is here!!! Patrick, Just purchased your book and I didn't have any problems uploading your site! I left a couple of questions (regarding your mouthpiece) on your thread on the TH site. I thought I'd enter them here as well...hoping there might be a better chance of receiving a reply from you!! (1) Are you using the "LT" version or the heavier "STC-1"? (2) As per the Monette description..."deepens quicker than the BL3"...does this mean that the cup is more "V" shaped? (3) What is the bite on the rim like (i.e., sharp, normal, soft, etc)? (I'm quite familiar with the BL2, MFII, ans BL3 if that helps you for a comparison). (4) What is the throat size? Thanks, Butch

![]() | BL4 Hi Butch! The BL4 is a LT PRANA Mouthpiece. The cup still has a good bowl shape to it, but it does open up going into the 23 throat. There are two good bites and they do not cut my lip! The inner bite is down in towards the cup with a relief point right under the bite. The outer bite is just at the point where the curve of the rim and the flat side of the rim meet. The rim looks pretty normal to me, but that is about all I know from looking at it. Dave really knows what he did, because he just gave it to me and said, "Try this." If you have more any questions I would call the shop. I hope that this helps. Musically yours, Patrick E. Hession :) |
