| Pianissimo User | Phil Smith Masterclass For those of you that are in the Dallas area (or within comfortable driving distance to Dallas). Phil Smith will be giving a masterclass this saturday (6/24/06). Bert Truax, formerly of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, is putting on his 2nd annual trumpet camp. It's a really great camp from what I've seen of it, he's bringin in lots of big name pros to speak/play throughout the week. If you're interested check it out: www.whiterockmusic.com It should be a great experience!! -Brad |

| Brad, Looks like a fantastic line-up. Wish I could attend and thanks for posting it. You'll enjoy Jon Lewis. Nice guy and fantastic musician / trumpeter. Mention my name, give him 70 cents and he'll buy you a coke! If you don't play on a GR and you stay alert through Gary's lecture you will be sold!! Please be sure to give us all a report! Rogerio |

| I attended the Phil Smith masterclass at the Coast Guard Academy earlier this month. He is a wonderfully gentle soul, and provided a great learning experience for all participants and attendees. He opened with the Mahler 5 excerpt (which one of the participants also played If you can get there - GO! Greg |
