I have 2 question. One is I am looking into buying a trumpet to play for my personal pleasure but I am on a budget could you recommend a good one that I could get for a reasonable price a used one or maybe a new one. One store said I could buy one for $250. Tax but I am not sure if it includes the mouth piece.
My second question is I am going to be 49 years old in 2 weeks and I have physical health issues that tire me out more then it did before I got a disease called CIDP in 2004. How much energy does it require to play a trumpet. The last time I played a Brass instrument was in High School for 4 years with a Baritone. It wasn't my choice but the Teacher but I would have preferred the Trumpet. I original started playing the clarinet but the teacher realized my 2 baby fingers were not fully developed and put me on the Baritone.
I am also thinking of retired from my regular job if I can afford to live off the Ontario Government Disability Pension by Christmas. Staying home without anything to do will be boring. I have been thinking about buying a trumpet for years. Knowing I was accepted for the Governments Disability Pension makes me want to quit working because I don't have the strength physically and mentally to work anymore so I am looking to do something that would give me pleasure. I also like playing on a keyboard for fun. But I worry that playing the trumpet will tire me out that it won't give me pleasure.
Thanks for letting me become a new member of this forum
PS: I still have my metronome that I bought in High School
