"There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality: there is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is a trumpeter's fury; then there's the dark side...." --Michael Stewart
But everyone loves a good one
Bach Stradivarius 43* (1974), Bach 3C Mouthpiece.
Getzen 896 Eterna Flugelhorn (1974), Curry 3FL Mouthpiece.
Plus a few other Bach, Getzen, Olds, Carol, and Besson horns.
Be sure Brain is engaged before putting Mouthpiece in gear.
You had a good concert. The Arutunian was great. Don't get too full of yourself. Vulgano Brother is very wise and I suggest you heed his words. He was implying that you play better than the average HS player, and I think most of us agree.
Keep practicing, be confident in yourself and don't be too concerned with what others think. And don't come here looking for approval or to consolidate how you see yourself. Whatever you were doing before you found this forum worked! This place has the potential to be a huge waste of time and energy. (Just ask me...)
Nothing is more contagious or tenacious than music. Once you are exposed it gets inside you and you can never get rid of it. It is also non-discriminating. It can be Ride of the Valkyries, In a Gadda da Vida, the Jeopardy 15 second thinking tune, your most disliked commercial jingle - it doesn't matter. Once triggered, off you go, like it or not.
