Well, you came to the right place. No patience = no trumpet player

Seriously though, you'll find that to do the work necessary to progress to a competent player, you will need a lot of patience...I always tell my students - we all want to progress and we all want results, but in order to be a good trumpet player, you HAVE to fall in love with the process of learning to play the trumpet. One has to develop a zen-like appreciation for the regimen of hour after hour of frustrating, oft-times boring practice in order to develop as a player over time. Without this love of the process, you will quickly become disgruntled and quit. However, like all worthy pursuits, this will pay off in the end as you move from plateau to plateau and your playing improves.
