You gave a nice horn and I doubt if an overhaul and refinishing in silverplate will hurt it at all. You would probably enjoy having it done and you should. I would recommend Tom Green, Charlie Melk or others as opposed to sending it to Anderson directly. Anderson does good work, but I believe the "prep" on your horn by a custom shop (before the trip to Anderson) would make the final product look far better. I've heard that sometimes Anderson doesn't do all the detail needed to make the horn look as great as it could be prior to plating and the valve situation is not a good thing.
