  | string adaptation of Vivaldi's double trumpet concerto I went to inter-school orchestral and string group competition and heard the most unexpected piece from a 'violin orchestra' from my school. They played an adapted version of Vivaldi's double trumpet concerto! I was really surprised. The piece was introduced as Allegro in D (they only played the first movement in D major not C major)
