summer orchestra stuff for students

Does anybody have ideas on summer festivals for students that are junior or seniors in highschool?

Tom,

There's a 2-week Jazz Camp in Door County, WI called Birch Creek. Each student plays in a big band and a small group, performing with each at least 4-5 times during the camp. This will be my 9th year there.

Birch Creek also hosts a Symphony session where the students sit side-by-side with the faculty in the Orchestra.

I do several jazz camps each summer, the best known is the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop. We do two 1-week camps in the US (in Louisville, KY). http://www.jazzbooks.com/workshops/

We also do a 1-week camp in the UK. http://www.jazzwise.com/summerschool/
