The recent thread about recorded taps made me wonder.....

For those of you that actually play taps at funerals, what do you wear?

Navy blue pants and white oxford shirt, no tie, black shoes.
White cotton gloves if its cold out.

Dark suit, "calm" tie (no wild patterns/designs), and overcoat if it is in the winter.

Usually a black suit; with white shirt and black tie!

Unless I'm specifically told to dress in another way.

You wear what you'd normally wear to a funeral. If you're retired military, your uniform is appropriate.

Black or dark blue coat. Dress pants. Tie is usually red or blue.
Black leather shoes.

My swing band has WWll Army Air Corps uniforms.

I usually wear that or a black suit, tie.
