Trumpet duets

Hi everybody,

I am interested in finding out what duets you all are playing these days. Particularly duets that work well in performances, but also duet books for study and fun.

Here are a few that I have used in the past years:

Vivaldi
Franseschini
Manfredini
Carmen (Hunsberger)

Amsden
Gekker
Arban
Vizzutti
Voxman volumes
Hickman piccolo

Any others?

Thanks
Tom

Re: Trumpet duets

I just picked up a really cool duet by Eugene Bozza called Dialogue for two trumpets.

I also like playing Lennie Neihaus' jazz duet book.

Re: Trumpet duets

Tom,
Have you ever checked out the duets in the Gatti method? These duets have a really beautiful Italian flavor.
Peace

I played Dialogue in a Recital last semester, it's a good piece.

Re: Trumpet duets

I second on the Ernest Williams book. My HS teacher was a student of Ernest Williams so he liked using his book(s).

Mel Broiles' duets are really challenging but fun to play.

Recorder duets! Tons of baroque stuff out there, and cheap, too!
