I kinda agree with Solar Bell ...its a toss up between 3 and 4 for sound
its almost as if the listed horns are played in the same order as horns 1,2,3,4
May the Trumpet Gods smile upon us all
Interesting how many like #4. They are not played in the order of the listing, but one of them is in the correct slot if they were in order.
As I recollect, I liked them all in ascending order. But I got mixed up listening to the clips. Think 3 and 4 stood out.
Especially 1 sounded "old timey," and 2 also.
How odd they sounded so similar, yet differences presented themselves.
I listened again to 4; think I like 3 best.
Just took in the first couple of bars of each.
3C on all of 'em, eh? Wonder what a B or no letter cup would sound like ;)

#1 - A; #2 - D; #3 - B; #4 - C --- my best guess
1991 King Silver Flair
1953 Olds Super (LA)
1979 King KG1055T (pre UMI) Silver Flair
1940? Olds Ambassador (LA) tenor trombone
I'm not responsible for offending people -- people are responsible for themselves taking offense at me
I like them in the order of 1,3,2,4
I like one bc to me it has the darkest richest tone
#3 seems to slot very well.
#2 sounds "thin" (by comparison) to me but notes also seem to slot well
#4 was brighter and played well just not my fave sound.
No clue which to put at which spot so I will just wait till you reveal.

If I win can I have a pick of the horns.
Like the player best.
Aww I know I am wrong, just checked everyone else's and see KT has the same list.
Maybe next guess is:

Why do I like a bell that Points UP ?
- because the spit does not run back into my mouth!
#1 is the Conn 22B, #2 is the Bach 43, #3 is the Conn 6B, and #4 is the Conn 76A cornet, which makes a pretty good trumpet with a shallow mouthpiece.
