 | Trumpeter Joe Burgstaller named Distinguished Visiting Artist at Peabody Institute Trumpeter Joe Burgstaller named Distinguished Visiting Artist at Peabody Institute February 11, 2008, Baltimore, MD: The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University is pleased to announce the appointment of trumpeter Joe Burgstaller (Canadian Brass, soloist, NYCrossoverQuartet) to the conservatory faculty as Distinguished Visiting Artist. Beginning this Spring 2008 semester, Burgstaller will present master classes, give private instruction to trumpet majors, and coach chamber ensembles. Late applications to study jointly with Joe Burgstaller and Edward Hoffman (Baltimore Symphony, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Asian Youth Orchestra) for the Fall 2008 semester will be considered, and late auditions will be held in May.
